What counts as “ultra-thin” silicon steel?
Gauges from 0.05 to 0.20mm — thinner than our standard CRGO (0.23–0.35mm) and standard CRNGO (0.35–0.65mm) ranges. Thinner laminations cut eddy-current loss as frequency or rotor speed rises.
Should I choose grain-oriented or non-oriented ultra-thin steel?
Grain-oriented (CRGO) suits transformers and reactors where flux runs one way. Non-oriented (CRNGO) suits motors and generators where the field rotates. Send us your application and we’ll confirm.
What’s the minimum order quantity?
Ultra-thin gauges are typically made-to-order with a higher MOQ than standard thicknesses. Tell us your target volume and we’ll confirm what’s workable.
