Products · Non-oriented silicon steel
Non-Oriented Silicon SteelCRNGO for motors, generators & compressors
Isotropic electrical steel from 0.05 to 0.65 mm — uniform magnetic properties in every direction for rotating machines, with standard, high-strength EV and ultra-thin high-frequency lines, supplied worldwide from Wuxi, China.
Three product lines
Choose by thickness, strength and frequency
All non-oriented steel is isotropic — the split is by gauge, mechanical strength and operating frequency. Pick the line that matches your rotor or stator, then drill into grade.
Standard · CRNGO
Standard CRNGO
The workhorse gauge range for general-purpose motors, generators and appliance laminations.
- Thickness0.35–0.65 mm
- Core loss P1.5/50≤ 2.5 W/kg
- Induction B50≥ 1.70 T
High-Strength CRNGO (EV)
Higher yield strength to survive high-speed rotor stress, with low core loss retained for efficiency.
- Thickness0.20–0.35 mm
- Yield strength≥ 600 MPa
- Core loss P1.0/400≤ 13 W/kg
Ultra-Thin CRNGO
Gauges down to 0.05 mm to cut eddy-current loss at high rotational speed and switching frequency.
- Thickness0.05–0.20 mm
- Core loss P1.0/400≤ 11 W/kg
- Induction B50≥ 1.60 T

FAQ
Sourcing non-oriented silicon steel from us
What’s the difference between non-oriented and grain-oriented silicon steel?
Non-oriented (CRNGO) steel has random grains, so it performs the same in every direction — for motors and generators where the field rotates. Grain-oriented (CRGO) steel is rolled so its grains align on one axis, for transformer cores where flux runs one way.
How do I choose between Standard, high-strength and ultra-thin CRNGO?
Standard CRNGO covers general industrial motors and generators. High-strength CRNGO is for EV traction rotors that need to survive high rotational stress. Ultra-thin CRNGO is for high-speed or high-frequency motors where eddy-current loss dominates. Send us the application and we’ll recommend a line and gauge.
Can you match a specific grade, like 50W470 or M400-50A?
Yes — we supply across GB, EN, JIS and AISI, and can cross-reference your grade to the Chinese equivalent. Send the grade or a datasheet and we’ll confirm the match and quote.
What’s the minimum order quantity?
MOQ depends on grade, thickness and width. Tell us your target volume and we’ll confirm what’s workable — trial quantities are possible for new projects.
How fast can you quote and ship?
Quotes come within 24 hours. Common grades often ship from stock in days; made-to-order runs and non-standard widths typically take a few weeks.
Do you provide samples?
Yes — free samples are usually ready within about a week, so you can test core loss and stampability before committing.
Which standards and certifications do you hold?
Production runs under ISO 9001 and IATF 16949, with material to GB, EN, JIS or AISI grades and RoHS / REACH compliance. A mill test certificate ships with every order.
Can you cut to my sizes?
Yes — precision slitting to width, cut-to-length sheet, and stamped motor laminations to your drawing.
